Guest Room Reveal

Hi! So I’ve been meaning to get started sharing some more parts of our home updates (sorry to all the family & friends who keep asking 😂), but honestly getting things together has taken a bit longer than expected. Both for time and money reasons. Buying a house and having a wedding just about one year apart is no joke. That and I’m just super indecisive and taking my time getting things juust right. That being said, there’s a couple more details I want to get in place and then I’ll start sharing a bit more of our (sorta) new house 😊

So first up is our guest room! Full disclosure... even this room isn’t complete. TBH I was hoping to have a lot more decor to show you, but it is what it is! The parts that I need for photos are ready so I guess that’s all that matters at the moment haha. Either way, I’m super excited to have had my first session of 2019 in our new guest room! I had this idea long before we even bought a house to have a cozy guest room which doubles as a photography space. And so far this room is turning out perfect. To fully appreciate the room I feel like you need to see where we started...

Yeah.. some paint can make a pretty big difference! And these photos don’t even show the true “before”. At the time these photos were taken we had already refinished the floors (we did did all the wood floors in the house all at once before we moved in. Refinishing wood floors is time consuming — and VERY messy. So I’m so glad we did it this way!). Oh, and thanks to my bestie Jena (J.Storm Designs) for the beautiful window she got me for Christmas (see below). She actually got us two and I can’t wait to find a purpose for the second one :) Anyways, let’s get to the pretty stuff ❤️
