Baby B's Nursery Reveal
Ahh I can’t believe it! Baby b’s nursery is finally complete and I’m so excited to share it with you all! This has been one of the baby things I’ve been dreaming about long before we were pregnant (no really, I pretty much had it completely planned way before.. definitely a crazy planner over here haha). I’ve always noticed the beautiful morning light in this room, so I knew from the very beginning that it would be a nursery one day. So it’s very surreal to actually see it all come together :)
PS. As you can see throughout these photos, Hazel is loving the nursery as well!
Before I share the deets I just wanted to give a quick shout out to Josh for, of course, putting in so much work to make this happen. Between work and my to do lists at home, he has been working so hard to get everything prepped and ready. And of course my type A side wanted everything done, organized, and ready to go long before baby gets here. I know she won’t even be needing it right away, but it brings me joy to see everything ready and imagine what it will all be like. Some mornings I just sit in there to appreciate it all. Anyways, let’s get to the fun stuff. You miiight even find a sneak peek of her initials :) But we are waiting until her birthday to share her full name!
I had a vision for this nursery from the very beginning.. I wanted a lot of neutrals (so I can easily repurpose or change things around in the future — especially the furniture!) and lighter woods with some touches of color! I lovvee the mauvey pink colors and the dark grey we ended up incorporating in the rug, as well as some of the decor. I’m not sure exactly what to call our style.. but, for sure a little bit of boho vibes! Either way, it turned out perfect and just the way I imagined!
Josh built all of the shelves, including the shelving in the closet, and I’m obsessed! I love that I can just show him an inspo pic, and he can make it happen! Previously, it was just a regular closet with some out dated wallpaper and a few old hooks, so I'm so happy we were able to transform it to be much more functional with our limited space. Also, I absolutely love the shelves to display her books, and can’t wait to read them all to her one day!
Baby shower tip: Always request that people bring “a book instead of a card”! It’s seriously so useful to be able to start off with a great book collection from the very beginning! Plus, over the years we will love being able to read the sweet messages that people wrote in them.
Below you will see her sweet crib corner that I’m also obsessed with <3 That Bird of Paradise plant is real, so I’m excited to see it grow and fill the space overtime. And as you can see we still need to fill the frames with photos from our maternity shoot, but I think that is the final piece of the puzzle! Either way I love this corner, and can’t wait to see our babe sleeping in there!
So that’s it! We are both soo happy with how it all came together! Not only did I have so much fun decorating and envisioning it all, but I also loved being able to get all the baby stuff arranged and organized! It feels like this was one of the final steps for getting prepared for baby, so I think we are ready for her any time now! As always, if you have any specific questions about what we did or where we got something, just send me a message! I would be happy to answer. Or just let me know what your favorite part is! Because I just don’t think I could pick :)
