Hello 2020
And just like that we are about to enter into a new year AND decade! I know I say it all the time, but it always catches me off guard how fast time passes by. As always, I love the opportunity for a fresh start and there’s no better time than a new year. I always make a point to sit down and reflect on the previous year, as well as set goals for the upcoming year. This year I decided to switch things up a bit… While I do have some specific goals, I really wanted to focus on one theme word for the year. This year I chose INTENTION. Before I go into details… let’s reflect on 2019!
Big things that happened in 2019!
Got married & lots of wedding festivities (gotta start with the obvious)
Honey moon road trip through New England
Josh started a new job
I started my 3rd school year as an elementary school based therapist
I grew my photography business
Our nephew was born!
Continued working on our house
Adopted Hazel ! <3
Our best friends got married
Lots of amazing memories made with family & friends
What I learned this year:
Time & energy are extremely valuable resources
Everyone’s life paths are SO different (don’t judge & don’t compare)
You can never control other’s thoughts, emotions, behaviors, etc. So just focus on being the best that you can be!
To piggy back off of that… It doesn’t matter what you do, people will choose to think what they want about you. Never accept criticism from someone you wouldn’t seek advice from.
Dogs are the best
My Hopes for 2020!
Be intentional
Intentional with my time, energy, relationships, thoughts, money, goals, you name it! I want this year to be full of purpose and intention in order to get me where I want to be
More home progress (now that the wedding is over I really want to focus on getting shit done around here!)
More adventures (and more date nights with Josh!)
Mental clarity
Re prioritize
Honestly, I feel like wedding festivities (for myself & then best friend) took up a lot of my focus through 2019. And it was so fun! BUT I am ready to re prioritize and put my focus back onto some things that were pushed to the back burner this year….
Incorporate more psychology & mindset into social media & blog posts
For awhile I have been thinking about & wanting to incorporate these two sides of my life. 2020 is the time to do it!
Continue to grow in all aspects of life
